As Gaeilge - Free Irish Language Courses For Queers!
Come for the Gaeilge, stay for the Craic!💚
Our second of our Irish Language Session takes place at 6:00pm on Thursday April 23rd at the Mount Pleasant Public Library.
Are you Irish and living abroad? Missing the sound of Gaeilge in your ears? Curious to reconnect with the language you grew up around — or maybe never got the chance to learn properly?
Join us at the Mount Pleasant Library for a free, fun three-part Irish language course created especially for Irish people living in Vancouver and the surrounding area.
Hosted by Vancouver Queer Irish, this relaxed and welcoming series is all about connection — to the language, to culture, and to each other. ☘️
Whether you’re starting from scratch or brushing off the cobwebs, you’ll:
Build confidence speaking everyday Irish
Learn useful phrases you can actually use
Reconnect with Irish culture in a warm, inclusive space
Meet other Irish folks navigating life abroad
No exams. No pressure. Just good craic and good company.
Free to attend. All levels welcome. 🏳️🌈
To gain access to the event, please arrive on time at 1 Kingsway, (inside the Mount Pleasant Community Centre) - we will direct you to the elevators and grant you access up to the floor.
